Orders and inquiries

Golden Petal Cakes & Desserts collects the name, email address, phone number, order selections, fulfillment details, and notes you provide at checkout. Delivery orders also require an address. Custom cake inquiries include the contact details and celebration information you choose to share. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text notes.

We use this information to respond to inquiries, prepare and fulfill orders, send order confirmations, and contact you about your order. SubeOn, provided by Sube Dynamics, processes our storefront orders, customer records, and email consent. Our website uses Firebase hosting and backend services. Online payments are handled through Stripe’s payment form; card details are entered into Stripe’s form.

Marketing email choices

The optional checkout checkbox asks for express consent to receive special offers, seasonal menus, and bakery news from Golden Petal Cakes & Desserts. It starts unchecked. You can order without selecting it. When you select it and your order is created, SubeOn records the consent wording, time, source, and associated order. Leaving it unchecked does not withdraw consent you previously gave.

You can withdraw marketing consent using the unsubscribe option in our marketing emails or by contacting us below. Unsubscribing does not prevent communications needed to fulfill your order. SubeOn also supports time-limited consent arising from a purchase, where applicable; this is distinct from express consent through the checkbox.

Information stored in your browser

Your cart is saved in local browser storage. Checkout recovery and order tracking use session storage so you can continue in the same browser session. Clearing browser storage can remove your cart or access to checkout recovery. It does not cancel an order or payment, or withdraw marketing consent.

Privacy requests

Contact us to ask about your information, request access or correction, request deletion, or withdraw marketing consent. Some order and consent records may need to be retained for business or legal requirements.
